How to change activated charcoal filters

The BORA X BO steam oven has an activated charcoal filter that reliably traps and minimises odours. So that odours are effectively reduced, the filter must be replaced on a regular basis. The filter should be changed every 150 operating hours.

How to change the activated charcoal filter

The BORA X BO uses a filter change icon to indicate when replacement is required. To watch an instruction video on the display, select ‘Filter change’ under ‘Maintenance’ in the X BO menu. You will see the video under the menu item ‘Instructions’.

Please note: the odour filter is behind the touch display.

  • Touch ‘Maintenance’.

  • Touch ‘Filter change’.

  • Tilt the touch display upwards.

  • Pull the filter replacement cover out with the odour filter.

  • Release the two locks on the filter replacement cover that are marked ‘PULL’.

  • Take out the old odour filter.

  • Take the new odour filter out of its packaging.

  • Ensure that the ‘UP’ position indicators on the filter replacement cover and the odour filter match.

  • Push the odour filter into the filter replacement cover until it clicks into place on both slides.

  • Push the filter replacement cover and odour filter into the BORA X BO as far as it will go.

  • Tilt the touch display back down.

  • Touch the button ‘Activate new odour filter’.

  • Confirm the filter change.
